Jordan Peele, ABC's Channing Dungey to Be Feted by Aafca

The African American Film Critics Association (Aafca) have named Get Out writer-director Jordan Peele and ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey among the recipients of its special achievement honors. Alcon Entertainment’s co-CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove and Los Angeles Film Festival president Claudia Puig will also be recognized at Aafca's special achievement luncheon in 2018 which along with its annual awards ceremony will be a "Celebration of Women in Cinema."

Jack Gao Exits China's Wanda, Legendary Entertainment (Exclusive)

Jack Gao, senior vp of billionaire Wang Jianlin's Dalian Wanda Group and interim CEO of Legendary Entertainment, has exited the Chinese conglomerate, sources familiar with the situation tell The Hollywood Reporter.
Zeng Maojun, president of Wanda Film Holding Co., will take the reins as Legendary's interim leader, according to sources. The studio has been without a CEO since founder Thomas Tull departed in January, following his company's sale to Wanda for $3.5 billion roughly one year prior. Zeng has recently been spending much of his time in Los Angeles, taking meetings around town and attending events.

'Snake Outta Compton' Trailer Is as Ridiculous as It Sounds

Hollywood may have hit peak genre mashup with Snake Outta Compton.
Heat Vision is debuting the first trailer for the film, which centers on a rap group about to sign its first big record deal just as a science experiment gone wrong threatens the city of Compton.
A quick look at the trailer reveals a lot going on — there's a little bit of Training Day, Snake on a Plane and Straight Outta Compton — plus a thick-glasses waring nerd-turned-monster creator whose style may seem familiar '90s kids.
