Linda Hamilton to Return as Sarah Connor in New Terminator

One of movie's original badasses is returning to the brand she helped make famous!  See below for more information on Linda Hamilton returning to the Terminator franchise!

She was only in two movies but it's apparent how vital Linda Hamilton's presence was for the Terminator franchise.  After Terminator 2: Judgement Day (arguably the best one), the franchise took quite a hit with several flops, including Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and, more recently, Terminator: Genisys.

Now, 20th Century Fox, Skydance, and Paramount are at it again, but this time they plan on bringing back the original team to help revitalize the series.  James Cameron was already brought on board to be a producer/consultant, while Arnold Schwartzeneggar seems always game for another Terminator revival, the only original member missing was Sarah Connor.

Thankfully, during a private event, Cameron made the announcement that Linda Hamilton will be reprising »

The First Trailer for Marvel's The Punisher Drops With A Bang

The trailer for the next stand-alone Marvel series on Netflix has emerged and it's everything you ever wanted and more from The Punisher!

If you thought Jon Bernthal's depiction of Frank Castle in Daredevil Season 2 was brutal, his solo series on Netflix is about to take it to the next level.  Netflix has released the first full-length trailer for Marvel's The Punisher.  If you like bullets flying, goons dying, to the music of Metallica's One, then this is the trailer for you.

Whoever edited that trailer together deserves an instant Emmy nomination for the way they cut together One with the action going on in the trailer.  When the bullets were flying during the bridge, I wasn't sure which was the song and which were the bullets.

Outside of the incredible choice in music, the rest of the trailer looked equally amazing.  The way we saw the backstory of how his family died, »

Weird Movie Tie-In Toys

Join us as we take a look at some of the most head-scratching (and disturbing) movie-based toys to reach the market, and marvel at how they ever became approved.

Movie merchandising, especially the merchandising of toys, is a Big business. According to the Hollywood Reporter, movie merchandising was responsible for $262.9 billion worth of sales in 2016 (globally). Of that total, 45% were a result of toy and other entertainment-related transactions. That’s about $118 billion worth of merchandise, versus movie ticket sales which only totaled an estimated $38.6 billion. From these numbers, it is easy to see why film studios put such an emphasis on the merchandising capabilities of their films, especially the big-budget franchises.

However, just because studios and toy manufacturers have profited immensely from the merchandising of movies doesn’t necessarily mean that those efforts have been quality or well thought out. For the most part, those responsible for making toys for »

New Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle Trailer Takes You Deeper Into the Game

The second trailer for the new Jumanji movie has arrived giving audiences a deeper look into the story of the upcoming film, with callbacks to the first movie.  Come inside to check it out!

Where the first trailer forJumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was all about setting up the basics of the film and establishing some chemistry between the characters, today's brand new trailer for the film goes a little bit deeper into the story and highlights the other characters the heroes will encounter:

Yes there are plenty of goofy things in this trailer, but honestly, it looks like a lot of fun to me.  I'm not expecting Oscar greatness out of it, but there looks to be some genuine humor and action scenes to enjoy.  At the very least, I love the idea of how the game itself is changing things to continue sucking in players.  There's some neat »

First Official Trailer for Tomb Raider has Arrived

19 September 2017 6:11 PM, PDT

As promised yesterday with a (admittedly wonky) movie poster, today brings about the first official trailer for the brand new Tomb Raider movie, giving fans their first look at the new Lara Croft in action.  Come inside to take a gander!

The rebooted Tomb Raider games (which are incredible) has brought all new attention to the character/story of Lara Croft.  With their success, it didn't take the studios long to take advantage of the resurgence and get a new Tomb Raider movie reboot off the ground.  While we've seen images of Alicia Vikander from the new film, this is our first real look at how the new movie will play out:

Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen.  Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, Lara navigates the chaotic streets of trendy East London as a bike courier, »

Get Your First Look at the Gameplay of WWE 2K18

19 September 2017 12:20 PM, PDT

We are less than a month away from the release of the newest installment of WWE Games. And this week 2K Games, the WWE, and IGN gave us our first look at the gameplay of WWE 2K18

While we still don’t get any new details about MyCareer, or any story mode in the game, we do finally get a real look at the actual in game mechanics. They sure do look pretty crisp. As a professional wrestler myself, this video really shows how much of a real to life gaming feel they are trying to give you. Take a look here:

As you can tell it looks very smooth, with a lot of new move sets added, and the ability to truly fight almost anywhere. It feels a lot like the return of a franchise favorite, Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain where players could really move about the entire arena to fight. »

As if you needed an excuse to see Nazi's getting their asses handed to them, the latest Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus trailer has arrived and it's pretty glorious.  If you're looking forward to the sequel it's a great look at a new area and the intense battles you'll be playing:

The Nazis have taken over America. They've turned Manhattan into a wasteland. They’ve walled off New Orleans and are systematically purging the city, burning people and homes to the ground. And they brazenly walk the streets of small-town USA – going where they want, taking what they want and behaving however they please. But this is not Bj Blazkowicz’s America. The United States will »

Activision Unleashes A Powerful Trailer for Call of Duty: WWII

18 September 2017 3:33 PM, PDT

A new trailer for Call of Duty: WWII's story has just emerged and it may be the best they've ever done.

Something you don't hear too often is, "Wow, the story in Call of Duty Insert Name Here was incredible.".  It's usually more about the gameplay than it ever is about the story.  Sledgehammer Games decided to remedy that with a story trailer for Call of Duty: WWII that is sure to leave jaws dropped.

There is a lot to love about this trailer for Call of Duty: WWII.  First off, the graphics are sensational.  The textures of the scenery and the character models are like something from a movie.  Second, Sledgehammer must have cleared out the writer's room and brought in people who worked on any number of World War II movies and had them write the screenplay.  If this trailer is any indication, the story for Call of »

Lightning Strikes Twice in the New Injustice 2 Character Reveal Trailer

18 September 2017 3:17 PM, PDT

Two new characters are about to debut in Injustice 2.  While they're from two completely different worlds, they share one thing in common.  Lightning.

Injustice 2 is gearing up for a new wave of heroes, after the release of Starfire, Black Manta, and Red Hood.  The latest additions feature two heroes with an affinity for using lightning.  You already knew about Mortal Kombat's Raiden, but now you'll get to see Black Lightning in action too!

Fear not Mortal Kombat fans, Raiden is indeed a haus.  The gameplay trailer proves that one of the strongest characters in the Mortal Kombat franchise could easily become the strongest in Injustice 2, as well.  His combos mixed with that incredible cinematic super will likely draw a lot of gamers his way.  Meanwhile, I would've liked to have seen more from Black Lightning, but what I did see looks cool enough.

We'll get a better understanding of »

Alicia Vikander Debuts as Lara Croft in First Tomb Raider Poster; First Trailer Debuts Tomorrow

18 September 2017 2:42 PM, PDT

Alicia Vikander is channeling her inner Tomb Raider in the first poster for the rebooted film.  Except, it channels more of the newer games than the older versions.

Old or new, Tomb Raider will forever hold a place in video game history as one of the most iconic games ever made.  They broke barriers when they originally came out and continued to astound as time went on.  The current iterations of the franchise find Lara Croft in an almost Uncharted-like story and format.  With today's first poster reveal, it appears that's the direction Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer seems to be going as well.

Just as they did with Angelina Jolie's version, WB & MGM look to be taking inspiration from the games that started it all.  Unlike Jolie, who used the original, Alicia Vikander gets the distinction of using the image from the rebooted games.  What's more, the synopsis seems to match that. »
