Outlander: New Photos Chronicle Jamie and Claire's Painful Years Apart

Absence makes the heart grow fonder… and the beard grow longer.

New photos from Outlander‘s upcoming third season detail the years that Claire and Jamie spend apart following her return to the 1940s and his participation in the Battle of Culloden. While neither Mr. nor Mrs. Fraser seem particularly happy to be so far removed from the love of their lives, Claire at least seems… comfortable as she and Frank settle into their new home.

Jamie, meanwhile, ranges from unkempt and worried (carrying Fergus in his arms) to resigned and shackled (standing with Lord John Grey, played by new »

Mr. Mercedes Recap: 'No Problem'

Mr. Mercedes‘ titular fiend was effectively taunted this week, while a burning question — Why doesn’t Bill simply get his police pals involved? — got answered.

Having spiffed himself up more than a little for his latest tête-à-tête with Janey, Bill was presented with a wealth of letters written by Mr. Mercedes to Olivia, the owner of the car used for the years-ago massacre. In them, akin to the messages Bill himself now is receiving, Mr. Mercedes pretended to offer a sympathetic ear in the course of actually preying upon Olivia’s sense of guilt over her unwitting role in the tragedy. »

Chicago P.D. Boss Talks How Lindsay’s Exit Will Affect Halstead and Voight

A major loss is blowing through the Windy City on Chicago P.D., and it will be felt across the Intelligence unit.

When the Season 5 premiere picks up, Detective Erin Lindsay (exiting series regular Sophia Bush) will have, indeed, moved on to a position at the FBI’s New York counter-terrorism unit, new showrunner Rick Eid tells TVLine. Despite “a bit of a [time] jump,” the episode will, “emotionally, in many ways, pick up from where” last May’s cliffhanger left off, with Lindsay’s ex-boyfriend Jay Halstead and her surrogate father Hank Voight still coping with her sudden departure.

Crashing's Pete Holmes Talks Season 2 Returns, Starts a Beef With Iron Man

HBO’s Crashing may tell a fictionalized version of comedian Pete Holmes‘ life, but that doesn’t mean everything that happens in the series is firmly grounded in reality.

For example: Holmes tells TVLine that filming a scene from the comedy’s upcoming second season felt very much like something out of a classic ’80s sci-fi film.  “[There] was this big elaborate rig, and it was like 1 in the morning, and I’m riding around the streets of Chelsea on this bike, and it was very E.T.,” he says.

Want more Shorty? Well, you’re getting it.

Epix has renewed its Get Shorty reboot for a second season, TVLine has learned. Based on the Elmore Leonard novel that inspired a 1995 John Travolta film of the same name, Get Shorty stars Chris O’Dowd as a Nevada hitman who delivers a hot screenplay to a B-movie producer (Ray Romano) in hopes of transitioning to a less violent career path. (Hollywood can be just as savage as the mob, though.)

Game of Thrones Season Finale Photos: White Walker Enemies, Assemble!

The dragon and the wolf, as well as a few lions, appear to gather in this week’s Game of Thrones. But will the summit change any hearts and/or minds re: the undead hordes bearing down on Westeros?

Hard to say. Some these recently released photos from Sunday’s super-sized Season 7 finale (HBO, 9/8c)  show several of the key players — including Jon, Tyrion, Jaime and Cersei — apparently in the same place at the same time. This is likely because Jon has hauled the wight he and his men bagged in last week’s episode all the way to King »

“You’ve got a Democrat right here!” an unidentified protestor announced, suddenly stepping forward to display a homemade “Fox Lies” sign. “This is fake news!”

Disjointed Review: Don't Puff Puff, Just Pass on Netflix's Half-Baked Sitcom

You know how they say smoking marijuana can make anything funny? Well, whoever said that never watched Netflix’s appallingly bad new weed-com Disjointed. Because it would take a tractor-trailer full of ganja to make this mess tolerable.

You might have seen that Disjointed (debuting this Friday) stars the great Kathy Bates and airs on Netflix, and assumed that it must be innovative in some way. But don’t be fooled: This is basically a lame CBS sitcom dressed up in hip, streaming-service clothing. Chuck Lorre (of Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory fame) is an executive producer here, »

Emmys 2017 Poll: Who Should Win for Lead Actress, Limited Series/Movie?

Real talk: Can we just give all six of these women an award at this year’s Emmys and be done with it? Because choosing just one winner feels like an impossible task.

The 2017 nominees for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie include four (!) Oscar winners, all of whom would cruise to victory in a less competitive year. Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon both earned nods for HBO’s rich-moms drama Big Little Lies, with Kidman holding a tiny edge for her heartbreaking work as abused wife Celeste. Espn Pulls Robert Lee From Virginia Game, Due to Asian Announcer's Name

Asian sports announcer Robert Lee — not to be confused with Confederate General Robert E. Lee, who died in 1870 — will no longer call the University of Virginia’s first college football game of the season, Espn has announced.

The decision to remove Lee from the broadcast comes after white nationalist rallies were held on the UVa campus earlier this month protesting the city’s plan to remove a statue of the controversial historical figure of the same name. Those protests eventually turned violent, culminating in a domestic terrorist attack during which a man rammed his car into a group of demonstrators, »

Lucifer Bosses Talk Up 'Leftover' Standalone Episodes (Maze as 007?!), How They'll Fit Into Season 3

22 August 2017 6:00 PM, PDT

Lucifer fans need not worry about May’s cliffhanger ending not being addressed as soon as Season 3 arrives on Monday, Oct. 2 at 8/7c.

Back in March, it was announced that Season 2 of the Fox drama would run only 18 episodes, and that the final four to be filmed would get added onto this fall’s run. That news A) bummed out fans who already were enduring a prolonged springtime hiatus, and 2) raised some concern about how the episodes, previously reported to be standalone in nature, would fit into Season 3.

For example, some fretted that the aforementioned cliffhanger — in which Lucifer (played »

Matthew Goode Sinks His Teeth Into Vampire Drama A Discovery of Witches

22 August 2017 5:09 PM, PDT

Given his track record of sweeping the ladies off their feet (by way of The Good Wife and Downton Abbey), it was only a matter of time before Matthew Goode sprouted a pair of fangs.

Goode will star opposite Teresa Palmer — who has her own history of romancing the undead, thanks to 2013’s Warm Bodies — in A Discovery of Witches, an adaptation of Deborah Harkness’ internationally best-selling All Souls Trilogy. The story follows Oxford student Diana Bishop (Palmer), a descendant of the witches of Salem who becomes romantically involved with Matthew, a 1,500-year-old vampire.
