When Edna is approached in front of the school in 1931 and Marty tries to tell her about Emmett's theft of plutonium from Libyans, she reacts as if she has heard the term "plutonium" before. The element was first synthesized in 1940.

Continuity 

When Marty first talks to young Emmett in 1931 in front of the barbershop, the car parked in front of the barbershop and the car parked in front of the courthouse have the same license plate number.

Revealing mistakes 

On the Future diorama at the expo, a close-up of the clock face shows the reflection of walls, windows and a doorway of a room as seen from the interior, even though the clock is placed outdoors.
