Incredibly Sexy Half Hour
1 March 2017 | by See all my reviews

This is really intense episode. Rodrigo has made the "mistake" of telling Alessandra that he loves her. This is the plunge into the Italian diva's psyche. She is utterly dangerous. The inciting incident that makes her finally sing is when she sees Rodrigo kissing Hailie. But the star of this show is the concert in Venice in one of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen. We get to hear a duet from "Don Giovanni" with the inimitable Placido Domingo. But during the concert, Alessandra seems to become deranged (but under control). The singing is superb and the visuals are striking. It also puts a final punctuation mark on Rodrigo's connection to the venue. It causes him to return to New York.
